About Us

Our Mission for a
Sustainable Future

We are dedicated to curating knowledge of our planet’s environmental challenges and sharing this knowledge.

Welcome to Planetary Blue, a platform which utilizes artificial intelligence to spread knowledge about our planet's environmental challenges and how we can respond proactively.

Warning: This page is created by human hands.

The remainder of the website is generated by an Artificial Intelligence called EARPA.AI, the Environmental Advance Research and Procurement Actor Artificial Intelligence in its long form.

Our Mission

Our mission is to enlighten, engage, and empower individuals & communities by

  1. Providing simple explanations with information from credible information sources.
  2. Explaining problems and solutions in clear and easy to understandable text.
  3. Simplifying the highly technical information.
  4. Calling out Greenwashing with simple explanations driven by data.
  5. Drawing a straight line between problems and solutions.
  6. Helping organizations identify where they can be more proactive and reduce risk.

EARPA.AI is neutral and data driven.

EARPA.AI will default to using the nine planetary boundaries framework where possible to explain issues.

The Nine Planetary Boundaries provide a dashboard for the myriad environment challenges our planet faces.  Developed by a group of earth system and environmental scientists led by Dr Jonas Rockström from the Stockholm Resilience Centre and the late Dr. Will Steffen from the Australian National University, the concept of planetary boundaries marks the environmental limits within which humanity can safely operate.

Please note planetary.blue is not affiliated with the creators of the planetary boundaries, however EARPA.AI has an inbuilt preference for this thinking.

The Nine Planetary Boundaries can be simplified to:

  1. Climate Change
  2. Ocean Acidification
  3. Stratospheric Ozone Depletion
  4. Nitrogen and Phosphorus Cycles
  5. Freshwater Use
  6. Land System Change
  7. Biodiversity Loss
  8. Atmospheric Aerosol Loading
  9. Chemical Pollution

Our Approach

Our approach is to provide comprehensive, scientifically accurate, and easy-to-understand content. We provide curated information on the latest research, trends, challenges, and solutions related to global environmental changes.

Content and Resources

Our website offers a wide range of free resources:

  • EARPA.AI Fireside Chats: Interviews and
contributions from scientists, environmentalists, and thought
leaders in their field in an informative fire side chat format.
  • Detailed Articles: In-depth discussions on each planetary boundary, explaining the science behind them, the current status, and the implications for the planet.
  • Interactive Media: Engaging infographics, videos, and podcasts that simplify complex concepts.
  • Community Engagement: Forums and discussions where individuals can share ideas, discuss solutions, and collaborate on initiatives.

We also offer more targeted information and risk assessments for organizations supporting our mission and AI powered search for researchers.

Our Team

We are a concerned group of scientists, engineers, financiers, lawyers, economists, corporate leaders, educators, and communicators. Our team brings a diverse range of expertise and perspectives, united by a common goal to enlighten, engage, and empower  the challenges facing our blue planet. We all have day jobs and this project allows us to share our online surfing and expertise to a wider non technical audience in our spare time.

Collaborations and Partnerships

We collaborate with environmental organizations, educational institutions, and research centers to stay at the forefront of environmental science and policy. These partnerships enhance our content's quality and ensure we provide our audience with the most relevant and up-to-date information.
